About Us

It all began in 2005 when we were looking for an affordable travel trailer for family camping trips. We just couldn't bring ourselves to buy a standard white box camper, and this eventually led us to a 1964 Shasta Airflyte in Des Moines. We drove 6 hours to see it and fell in love instantly. We restored it and made the Midwest Vintage Trailer Rally our first big trip. And that was the start of our obsession with vintage travel trailers.

Since that first restoration, we have restored many Shastas, a Forester, a fiberglass Burro, a Cardinal, and an Airstream. We have a number of potential restorations in the wings, including a 1941 Kozy Coach and a 1950 Spartan.

Our Mission

One of the things we most appreciate about vintage campers is the quality and craftsmanship that went into creating these mid-century beauties. Our goal is to continue this fine tradition as we restore these pieces of living history. We hope our restorations will help these campers survive for another 50+ years, so they can continue telling the story of a time when Americans were optimistic about the future and looked to the roads for adventure.
